How can you support?

There are many different ways that you can help. From pamper days to payroll giving and from skydiving to shopping we are are here to support you in supporting us.

By pledging your support, we'll be there to help you along the way:

The part our supporters play in raising funds for the Charity is vital when planning our care at the Hospice. Without the help of our community we couldn't continue to offer the same level of support to our patients and their families.

“ Fundraising events play a huge part in helping us to pay for the 5 star service/care at Cynthia Spencer Hospice which is provided free of charge for local people with serious illnesses.”

Volunteer to help

Where would we be without volunteers?

A team of over 120 dedicated volunteers provide a wide range of services which though not essential for patients’ medical care, can make an enormous difference to their stay at Cynthia Spencer Hospice. Our volunteers complement the staff by enhancing the caring atmosphere in a practical and helpful way.

Volunteering can be extremely rewarding work. At Cynthia Spencer Hospice, our wonderful team work in a variety of capacities from receptionists and coffee shop helpers through to drivers and companions.

“I receive as much as I give and feel greatly privileged to be part of a team providing help to patients and relatives who find themselves in difficult circumstances.”

They are quite simply vital to the everyday running of the hospice. A Volunteer Manager ensures that all volunteers are trained and happy in their roles.
