Cynthia Spencer Means Business is a completely new concept designed to deliver real business benefits to local companies through membership of our new Business Club.

Cynthia Spencer Means Business is a networking group with a difference. No gimmicks, just quality networking in an informal setting, decent coffee and a programme of informative presentations on key business topics. What’s more, 100% of the proceeds go to Cynthia Spencer Hospice! Meetings will be held at our Moulton Park Business Hub where there is plenty of free parking. There will be opportunities for members to host meetings at their premises so please let us know if you’d like to do this when you sign up and we will work it into our schedule. With a variety of membership levels there are many ways businesses of different sizes can get involved.

Paul is director and senior consultant at Northamptonshire-based training consultancy Beyond Theory. He firmly believes that work is a force for good; providing income, purpose and a social framework. Having spent his career in operational management, HR and training he’s worked across private, retail and public sectors and blue-chip companies. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and currently chairman of the Northamptonshire branch of CIPD. He regularly judges at the UK Customer Experience Awards and the UK Employee Experience Awards. With his commercial approach to people development, Paul can help you understand what makes your people tick for the benefit of your business and your customers.

Clare Elsby - Elsby & Co Chartered Accountants

Clare's accountancy training means that she has a wide range of commercial experience. Having started and managed (along with her husband) a successful accountancy practice for 25 year, Clare understands and can relate to the issues faced by business owners on a day to day basis. Recent challenges include taking over a more traditional accountancy practice and introducing Elsby & Co's ethos and values to the existing staff and clients of the old practice. Change management, communications and systems implementation were initially the focus with recruitment now being the main challenge as the practice grows under the Elsby & Co brand.
