Cynthia Spencer Hospice have partnered with T9 Ambulance Service Limited to provide first aid for participants at the Colour Obstacle Run being held at Overstone Park, Northampton on Saturday 23rd May.
The hospice events team had been looking for a new first aid provider and first got acquainted with Jonathan Croxon, operations manager from T9 Ambulance Service at a Northamptonshire Chamber networking event held at the hospice charity’s meeting room at Moulton Park.
Sarah Denston, events fundraiser at the hospice said: “Jonathan was immediately able to confirm T9 would be able to provide excellent first aid cover for our Colour Obstacle Run. The event venue is on fairly uneven ground and is a cross-country course so we need a first aid provider with vehicles that can handle this type of terrain in case any of our runners need emergency assistance.
“The fact that we’re both Chamber members also means it’s an ideal fit that we’re working together to bring our 6th Colour Run event to the people of Northamptonshire with safety and fun at the top of the agenda!”
Jonathan Croxon responded: “Working with other chamber members is one of our keys to success. We also have a personal connection to the hospice as one of our staff had their grandparents cared for at the hospice before they sadly passed away. We want to work with organisers of events from inception to completion to offer a safe, ethical and clinically excellent service and we’re looking forward to working with Cynthia Spencer to deliver this to their event participants.
“T9 Ambulance services was started in August 2019 to support NHS and private providers with their medical logistic needs, specifically emergency blood and organ transfers. We have now gone in a more specialist direction and are working towards registration with the CQC. We have big aims and hopes to make a real difference to not just local communities but also on a national scale.”
